“ I've been here three times already, and the sushi has been incredible every time. I’ve tried the spicy maki set with salmon, the dynamite roll, and the tuna roll—each one was absolutely delicious. This place is definitely my new go-to for sushi. We also had the spicy crab roll, which was amazing. If I had to pick a favorite, it would definitely be the spicy maki set with 24 pieces! The owners were really nice and welcoming as well! I called on the phone and the service was really fast! ”

“ Haven’t visited in a while because it’s been cold this winter and far away from where I live now. But recently I had a chance to pass by and I forgot how delicious their rolls taste!! I always have bad experiences eating takeout rolls with raw fish. They’ve been the cheap kinds that leave an unpleasant fishy after taste. But this one I tried at hanki was the best takeout salmon I’ve EVER had in Toronto. I can’t believe that it’s takeout because I only ever taste similar quality sushi when I dine-in. I had to ask about their ginger and soy sauce because it was so good. They told me their soy sauce is home-made by the chef which is absolutely incredible! It’s so refreshing to see small businesses that really care about what they sell. It’s very rare to find restaurant owners who will invest in things like ginger and soy sauce that many people will throw away or focus much less on compared to the mains!! Last year when we ordered their party tray, we were blown away by their decorations but now visiting again for a quick lunch, I have to say they put the SAME care into their special rolls. I can see how it can be a slightly bigger spending for some who aren’t used to eating quality sushi every week, but given how clean and fresh they maintain their ingredients, I would gladly pay for a meal here than anywhere else!! Even though I live further away now, after my last order, I am going to have to make more frequent trips to Markham!! Excited to try some of their other special rolls. ”

“ This is a really gem of a small takeout place. I had been recommended this place by a friend for a long time, but the moment I saw the finished tray, I had a feeling it would be really delicious even before eating it. After paying, I received a bag containing the sushi tray from the staff. As I turned to leave, the friendly staff kindly reminded me to hold the bottom of the tray so that the sushi would stand up straight without tipping over. When I got home and opened Large sushi & roll combo tray, I couldn't help but exclaim. It was so clean and the chef's sincerity was evident in the neat arrangement of the fish, each presentation, and the freshness of the fish and the taste. I could definitely feel that they really care about the customers who visit this place. Even sushi takeout was an elegant experience. I definitely recommend it. ”

There was even aburi sushi in there! The folks behind the counter are lovely and so sweet. I highly recommend this place and will be back soon. ”
